In March 2008, Alkim had participated at a Chrome concession tender of Turkish State Mining Authority. Among the important chrome miners and mining companies,  Alkim won this tender. 

 

This concession is located at the major Chrome Basin of Turkey, namely at Eskisehir region. With an area of 1.180 hectars our concession belongs to one of the promising reserves. 

 

After completing the bureaucratic formalities for the environment and relevant procedures in 2009, Alkim started reserve research in 2010 by drilling the area in a scientific projection. These reserve calculations will be finalized in first half of 2011.

 

Alkim's main strategy for Chrome mine operation is; after expoliting the reserve with the scientific methods, and obtaining the geological structure, 2 major way of operating the mine is planned. Higher degree lumpy ore will be exported directly and for the lower grade material, a concentration plant will be built.
