Sodium Sulphate :
The Anhydrous Sodium Sulphate production is being made at the lake Tersakan and lake Bolluk operations at the middle Anatolia. These two small lakes have been operated since 1950’s and Alkim’s first Sodium Sulphate plant was also established here in 1964. This rather old plant will
has been re-newed with a triple-effect evaporation plant in 2005 -
2007 period. Today, the production capacity of premium quality
refined sodium sulphate from the modernized Lake Bolluk Plant is
around 80.000 tpa.
Also, from these 2 small lakes we are producing low density sodium sulphate ( light
type ) by solar drying on the surface of the ponds. This seasonal
production ( only with summer solar heating ) has a capacity of ca.
20.000 per annum depending on weather conditions in summer.
